3 of my favourite tips about summer marketing

We’re less than a month away from summer and if you’re putting  your summer marketing strategy together, this blog is just for you!

Every spring and summer we share summer marketing tips, so let's take a look at some of my favourite tips about summer marketing.

Tip 1: Try something new

Summer can be a slower time for businesses and people alike, which makes it the perfect time to try something new and fresh. Maybe you’ve been thinking about starting a blog or having more fun with Instagram Stories and Reels. Whatever the case may be, the summer slowdown is the perfect time to get creative and to try something new. If it works, great! And if it doesn’t, you can refresh things for the fall.

Tip 2: Launch a seasonal business for summer returns without longterm commitments

There are so many seasonal business ideas that you can launch during the summer. landscaping/lawn care, pool cleaning business, food truck, educational tutor are just a few. If you’re looking for a short-term commitment a summer business idea may be perfect for you!

Thinking of starting a business but afraid of making a big leap and taking on a long term commitment? Summer offers the opportunity to dip your toes into entrepreneurship with a seasonal business.

Tip 3: Your customer’s habits may change, but customers don’t disappear

Customer purchasing behaviour shifts throughout the year. For different industries it could be because of regular seasonal shifts, financial milestones like tax season, or any number of reasons. Remember, just because their purchase behaviour and other habits change doesn’t mean they completely disappear for the summer.

Thinking your customers aren’t around in the summer can be a common misconception, while their habits like purchasing behaviour and social media usage can change from season to season, particularly in the summer, it doesn’t mean you should completely slow down or stop during the summer months. Instead, you will need to find ways to connect with your audience so that you can stay top of mind when it comes time for them to make a purchase.
